My 6 month programme - what to expect!

Health and Wellness Coach - I have brought my 15 years of experience working within the leisure, health and wellbeing, sport, children's play, art and community industry and my own personal wellness journey into developing my own Life and Wellbeing Coaching Practice.

I use this experience and my Wellbeing Coaching Training (certified by the ICF) to work alongside clients on a 3-6 month coaching journey to improve their wellness and become the best version of themselves. Through my own coaching journey, I have managed to set goals, develop strategies and work towards having a balanced life.

You may not have heard of a Health and Wellness coach before but there are many of us working out there to help people like you to feel their absolute best and become the best version of themselves. 

I am available for both in person sessions or remotely via Zoom, making it easy for you to work with me whatever your location in the world.  

1.   In our first session we take some time to speak about your needs and my experience to ensure we are a good fit for each other. I call this the “Chemistry Call” as I like to think it is a good opportunity to see if we can work well together.  We will potentially be working together for 3 to 6 months so I want to make sure I can provide you with the support you need. It may be that coaching is not the right thing for you at this time and I may refer you to another health care professional.  It is essential that you feel totally happy with working with me as your coach. 

2.   During this first session we will talk about what the coaching journey is and what transformational coaching looks like in practice. We talk about confidentiality and how I conform and imbed the ICF (Institute of Coaching Federation) code of ethics into my coaching practice.

3.   After some introductions, we will have a discussion around what drew you to coaching and areas of your life and wellness that you are looking to improve. This will give me an idea of the areas of your wellness that you want to focus on. I will explain how the programme works. If you are happy to go ahead we will go through the necessary paperwork including the contract, programme agreements, payment plans etc and most importantly set dates in advance for our sessions. The coaching programme consists of six 1 hr sessions and can be every other week or monthly to suit you, hence the program lasting between 3-6 months. 

4.   In session 2 we look into more detail about how you feel about different areas of your life from relationships, exercise and nutrition, work, hobbies, personal development etc . This is will give me a clear idea of the areas you want to focus on, where you are now and an overall picture of your wellbeing throughout your life. At the end of this session we set an overarching goal. A goal that you embody over the time we work together.

5.   During the sessions that follow we will work together to co-create the life you want to live, based on your personal goals. I am trained to guide you with behavioural changes that are necessary for you to experience long-term sustainable change. You will leave each session with 2 to 3 small changes to work on that we will review at the next session. 

6.   I will be here to keep you accountable to your own goals, to see how much you achieve and how far you’ve come since our first chat. 

7.   At the end of the 6 month programme and depending where you are on achieving your goals, we can continue working together by renewing your programme agreement. I will be here for you as long as you need me. Only you will know when you are ready to stop working together. 

8.   Throughout the programme and at the end of your initial programme agreement, I will be seeking feedback and a testimonial to share with others about what life and wellbeing coaching has done for you and hope it’s something you share positively with others.
